This past April 5th in Prague, President Obama stated that:
"One nuclear weapon exploded in one city -- be it New York or Moscow, Islamabad or Mumbai, Tokyo or Tel Aviv, Paris or Prague -- could kill hundreds of thousands of people. And no matter where it happens, there is no end to what the consequences might be -- for our global safety, our security, our society, our economy, to our ultimate survival."
Haven't we learned anything?

We need to ensure the future of the youth of the world by delivering to them a nuclear weapons free world. Nuclear weapons are a manifestation of fundemental darkness that is reflected in an action that removes any notion of humanity or caring for the precious life of every individual who has a right to walk and enjoy this beautiful planet of ours.

There is nothing in this world that requires nuclear bombs as a response. We must learn to change to a people who respond with open hearts and dialogue.

I feel that I do not need to say anymore than what is on this website. I will let the experts speak and support them through my buddhist practice and compassion for humanity. From when I was 15 years old and in Portsmouth New Hampshire, I remember the clamshell alliance nuclear power protestors and the passion they had for energy plants, nevermind the nuclear weapons part which is worse thank you for letting me add me add my voice to this cause.

When I think of war and nuclear arms I don't only think of what destruction there is but what great talent and opportunity has been lost for humanity. Each time I see a soldiers name who has died at 19 or 20 -- I wonder would that person have found a way to feed the world or cure a disease but we will never know. Jean

My great aunt survived the atomic bomb in Nagasaki. She taught me about what happened during that time, but never harbored anger toward anyone. All she said was that nuclear weapons are an evil that should be eliminated forever. Our world should be nuclear free. Our world should be one of peace.
