The abolition of all nuclear materials is necessary for human survival. We are at a point in time where we can replace nuclear power with other forms such as wind and solar, even hydro. Nuclear war as well needs to be stopped. War needs to be stopped. The effects of nuclear weapons are devastating, causing mutations, brain damage, forcing people to leave their homes because the radiation is too great. All of that along with the deaths of so many innocent lives! This is something worth fighting for. This is why I have decided to make this one of the main points in my life. The world needs the people to wake up and tell, no, force government to rid themselves of these hell bombs.

Nuclear weapons are barbaric and have no place in a modern
global society whose aims should be the welfare of every citizen.

I think it’s time for some concrete action to be taken, people need to be aware of the impact that weapons of all kinds have on human lives. Differences can be resolved otherways, human kind has other options.

I think everybody should collaborate to achieve nuclear disarmament in his/her own way. Despite how small our contribution might seem, it is indispensable. Even more so if we have the possibility of passing on to the next generation a legacy of peace, understanding, and hope. In order to create such a culture for the future, we have to lay the foundations now. I think it is possible if we really feel that we can do it, and if we do our best all the time.

In a 100 years our great-grandchildren will wonder why, when it had the power to do so and when there was so much else at stake, did it take the world so long to rid itself of this man-made menace. We have the power to abolish nuclear arms, for God’s sake let’s use it.
